Hope is Good. Plans are Better

No matter what we may have circling around in our individual orbits, it is normal to hope for some particular aspect of our lives to improve and being hopeful is a good thing!

Hope can be the fuel we need to motivate ourselves to get going on a better path, to make positive strives forward. However, if we stop there, we could find ourselves relying solely on hope and, before too long, if no meaningful or measurable improvements are present, hope can turn to disappointment or, even worse, hopelessness.

Hope can get you started, but you need a plan to sustain it.

So write it down. What are you going to do to move towards improvement (notice I did not say move "someone else" towards improvement)?

So many overestimate what they can do in a month, yet completely underestimate what one can do in a year. The smallest of steps forward done consistently can make phenomenal improvements in your life given enough time. The magic is in the repeated stacking of those small positive steps.

Keep hoping, keep believing and stay encouraged and the best way I know to hold onto those motivations is to commit yourself to a plan and build momentum.

You may surprise yourself how sustaining your efforts becomes more of a normal routine than a daily disciplined action.

Be hopeful for that too!
