This blog post is dedicated to you who took the time to subscribe to my mailing list and to you folks just checking out the site. Thanks so much to you both! Know that I am very appreciative of that so, in turn, I will make every effort to make sure any communication you receive from me is worth your time and attention.
You may be wondering, who is this guy anyway?
The catalyst for writing a book, taking on speaking 
engagements, starting a charity and blogging was the sudden and tragic loss of my son Zachary due to an accidental drug overdose. Picture here on your right.
A big part of my ongoing healing was my desire to help others who are living with a child with addiction challenges along with those who feel they have lost the battle as their child's journey has now, sadly, come to it's end.
In the preface of my book I wrote, "I know the painful lessons I have learned through my experiences need to be told. I believe that by sharing my journey, it just might help one person and, if so, it was well worth the endeavor".
We will always honour those who continue to struggle along with the ones we have sadly lost while holding on to the belief that we can learn to heal and rediscover a meaningful life despite our sometimes desperate, and often heartbreaking, challenges.
If my words can be even a small part of your healing journey then I will consider that a success.
